“The return of the right-bank part of the Kherson region to its full composition,” Saldo called one of the main tasks in 2023. This list also includes the restoration of economic ties and assistance to civilians.
He expressed confidence that Kherson would be returned under the control of the Russian side. “That is, the entire Black Sea part, which was included in the Russian Empire in the 18th century, it will all be in its native place,” Saldo added.
On November 9, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered the withdrawal of Russian troops to the left bank of the Dnieper after Sergei Surovikin, commander of the Joint Group of Russian Forces, made a report on the situation in the NVO zone.
