Governor of the Zaporozhye region Evgeniy Balitsky, in a conversation with journalists, spoke optimistically about the timing of the launch of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
According to him, Zaporizhzhya NPP will be able to quickly return to operation as soon as the threat from the Ukrainian Armed Forces disappears. The head of the region noted that despite the absence of shelling at the moment at the Zaporizhia NPP, five reactors are in cold reserve, and only one operates on its own, supporting the station.
“But it is alive… All the systems that must be provided for its viability, to keep it in working mode, are working today… As soon as the enemy is out of range of fire, we will launch it,” Balitsky said.
