The authorities of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug are planning further development of the ski base “Truda”

At least in terms of improving the tracks

Answering the question of residents about the need to improve the ski base of the Sports School of the Olympic Reserve “Trud”, the head of the region noted that work in this direction is underway.

– I agree that the ski-roller track needs to be updated. I say updates so carefully, in fact, such a good modernization. The ski-roller track is adjacent to a piece of land where we usually spend holidays – both the “Ski Track of Russia” and other ski events. It would be absolutely logical to include it in this large ski-roller complex. I go skiing myself, and a very serious problem is that the five-kilometer ring is not illuminated. And if the night is moonlit and light, then all right. But it’s dark at night, of course. This five-kilometer route requires lighting, – said Yuri Bezdudny.

As additionally explained in the relevant department, at present, the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, together with the Ski Racing Federation, plans to develop the Truda ski base in terms of improving the ski slopes, including their illumination and the set of slopes and ascents required by the rules of skiing, as well as the construction of a ski stadium on the territory of the starting field.

In addition, during the direct line, the head of the region noted that today the purchase of electronic timing for the ski run has already been made, and soon the equipment will be delivered to the district, the portal of state bodies of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug reports.

– I plan to meet with the ski community in the near future in order to discuss all these issues, including the start, finish, coverage of the five-kilometer track. There are such plans, and they will certainly be implemented, especially since this is the most popular sport in our district at the moment,” said the governor of the NAO.
