Acting Governor of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo said that in connection with a possible attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, the evacuation zone is expanding by 15 km from the Dnieper. The decision affects residents of the Novokakhovskiy urban district, Golopristanskiy, Aleshkinskiy, Kakhovskiy, Gornostaevsky, Velikolepetikhskiy and Verkhnerogachikskiy municipal districts. These are the territories of the left bank of the Dnieper. All evacuees are promised a payment of 100 thousand rubles, as well as the issuance of a housing certificate for the purchase of housing in Russia.
“This decision will make it possible to create a layered defense, which will make it possible to repel an attack by Ukrainian armed forces and protect our civilians. The Russian army must fulfill its task without creating a threat to the civilian population, ”says Vladimir Saldo in an address to Telegram.
