The authorities of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug explained the governor’s words about Russia’s unpreparedness for war

The press service of the government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra (KhMAO-Yugra) explained the comment of Governor Natalya Komarova about the equipment of fighters of a special military operation (SVO). Regional authorities claim that Ms. Komarova’s words were taken out of context.
Explanations were given after the director of the Tyumen regional public organization “Center for Public Control “Obereg”” Yuri Ryabtsev filed a police report against Ms. Komarova, accusing her of discrediting the Russian army. The Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug government considers these accusations unfounded. As reported in the press center, Ms. Komarova’s words do not contradict the statements of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“The president has repeatedly said exactly this: a war has been declared against us – sanctions, economic, and the hands of the Kyiv regime are also carrying out the physical extermination of people. And the fact that Russia was forced to enter into this confrontation, of course, did not fit into our country’s plans to build peace and partnership on the continent,” commented the press service of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra. The government added that at the regional level “everything in our power is being done” to support the SVO fighters and each issue is “worked out individually.”
The day before, at a meeting with residents of Nizhnevartovsk regarding a complaint from the wife of a conscript about poor provision for soldiers, Ms. Komarova stated, that the authorities were not ready to carry out the SVO. “In this case, we as a whole did not prepare for this war, we do not need it. We built the world completely differently. In this regard, there will certainly be some inconsistencies, some unresolved issues,” she said.
