The governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, said that Yury Zelnikov, the commissioner for the protection of human rights in the region, would visit colony IK-4 for an inspection. The day before, the founder of the human rights project Gulagu.net, Vladimir Osechkin, published a photo and video “from the official archive of IK-4 of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Kaluga Region.” According to him, the employees of IK-4 carried out “educational work” with the prisoners because of their refusal to participate in the special operation in Ukraine. In the video, the prisoners are asked to abandon the “thieves’ traditions”.
“Information periodically comes from various sources, and this information is always checked by specialists from the federal services and our commissioner for the protection of human rights, Yuri Zelnikov. He always travels with a representative of the prosecutor’s office for any information of this kind that appears. Therefore, he will definitely go and check, ”said Mr. Shapsha in an interview with “Climb”.
