The head of the Zaporozhye Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Starukh called on residents of Kyiv-controlled areas of the Zaporozhye region to stock up on firewood on the eve of the difficult heating season.
According to him, residents of the region need to think about insulating their homes in the private sector, and, if possible, stock up on firewood and fuel briquettes.
“In addition, based on the situation, strategic reserves should be created and alternative types of fuel should be provided,” he wrote on social networks.
According to him, the situation remains extremely difficult – electricity and gas pipelines were interrupted during the fighting. Negotiations are now underway to ensure at least a minimum heating season in the war zone.
During the special operation, the Russian military took control of the Azov part of the Zaporozhye region. A new administration has been formed in the region, Russian TV channels and radio stations are broadcasting, and trade ties with Crimea are being restored. The region announced plans to become part of Russia.
