The authorities of the Crimea decided to cancel the Soviet acts on the transfer of the peninsula to Ukraine

The State Council of Crimea found no grounds for transferring the peninsula to the Ukrainian SSR. In this regard, the authorities of the region will seek the abolition of all acts of 1954, declared reporters the chairman of the Crimean parliament Vladimir Konstantinov.

According to him, the working group of the State Council of Crimea refuted all the arguments of the Soviet authorities in favor of transferring the peninsula to Ukraine. In particular, Mr. Konstantinov noted, the need to transfer the Crimea for its restoration from the post-war devastation, declared then, was also doubtful.

“According to statistical data, the economic sphere of the region had already been restored by that time, industry and agriculture were actively developing. Therefore, we will seek in court the annulment of all acts of 1954,” the speaker of the State Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan emphasized.

Previously in the State Council of Crimea declared about intentions to apply to the Russian Constitutional Court to cancel the decree of 1954 on the transfer of the peninsula to Ukraine.
