Currently, the Pervomaisky District Court of Vladivostok is hearing the criminal case of Andrei Ishchenko, the founder of the Construction Company Specialized Developer Avrora-Stroy LLC, a former candidate for governor of the region.
He is charged with committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (large-scale fraud). “According to the investigation, in the period from December 2016 to June 2021, the defendant entered into agreements with citizens to participate in the shared construction of an apartment building in the city of Vladivostok (on Safonova St., 7 – Kommersant), promising to transfer real estate to them. Despite the fact that the company’s accounts received funds sufficient to fulfill obligations to equity holders, the construction of an apartment building has not been completed, the facility has not been put into operation, ”the supervisory authority said in a statement. The amount of damage caused to 179 victims is estimated at more than 380 million rubles.
Andrei Ishchenko pleads not guilty.

The regional committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation refused to nominate Andrey Ishchenko for re-elections because of “the understanding that it is impossible to overcome the municipal filter.”
The deputy failed to collect the required number of signatures on his own, and in December 2018 Oleg Kozhemyako was elected governor.
