Litigation on the ownership of land plots in the Sadgorod area (a suburb of Vladivostok) between citizens and the Russian Ministry of Defense will be terminated, dozens of families will not lose their property, Governor of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako said today, July 5.
“We received an order from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to transfer the land plot of military camp No. 90 to the municipal property of Vladivostok. This happened after a request from residents about giving them an eviction order. We applied to the Ministry of Defense, worked with the regional ministry of property and land relations. Issue resolved. The fears have disappeared,” Mr. Kozhemyako is quoted in the message regional government press office.
According to the Minister of Property and Land Relations of Primorye Vitaly Lunev, after the registration of the property rights of the municipality, it is planned to survey the land plot with the definition of the boundaries of the already built-up territory and the availability of private property rights.
“All legal proceedings with citizens initiated by the Russian Ministry of Defense will be terminated,” Minister Lunev assured.
In March of this year, it became known that the residents of Sadgorod become receive lawsuits from the Ministry of Defense for the annulment of ownership of the land where they now live. “The basis of the claims are documents dated 1932 and 1939, which indicate that the land belonged to the military department. This may affect 300 families,” Mr. Kozhemyako wrote in his Telegram channel.
The Governor of Primorye sent a letter to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu with a request to resolve the land issue in the suburbs of Vladivostok.
