The attack on Milashina and Nemov shows the signature of Western intelligence services – Kommersant

Those who attacked journalist Elena Milashina and lawyer Alexander Nemov could have done this to “another discredit of our country before the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius,” said Akhmed Dudayev, Minister for National Policy, Foreign Relations, Press and Information of the Republic. According to him, the style of Western intelligence services can be traced in the organization of the attack.

“Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the motive for inflating the trial of citizen Musayeva, to which, judging by the words, Milashina and Nemov were going. However, in view of the global processes taking place against the backdrop of a special military operation, it cannot be ruled out that the authors of the attack scenario pursued the goal of yet another discrediting our country before the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius. The characteristic handwriting of Western intelligence services can be clearly seen here, ”Mr. Dudayev wrote in Telegram.

According to the minister, the incident is “extraordinary” for the republic. At the same time, he noted that some public figures deliberately “inflate” the topic of attacks on a journalist and a lawyer. “Everything would be fine, but when Milashina for many years insulted tens of thousands of our fighters, who, by the way, today in the NVO zone protect the security and integrity of Russia, we did not observe such a violent response from these public figures,” he said.

Ombudsman of Chechnya Mansur Soltaev thinksthat the attack in Grozny was “a subversive provocation against the republic.” The incident was reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
