The Astrakhan water floor team beat the capital team twice

The first match started well for the Moscow team – after three minutes of the game the score was 2:0 in their favor.

In the sixth round of the Russian Water Polo Championship among men’s super league teams, the Astrakhan team “Dynamo-SSHOR” played two matches away from home with one of its main rivals – MKSSHOR “Vostok”. In the previous season, Vostok beat Dynamo-SSHOR twice in the fight for third place. And this time Dynamo took revenge.

The first match started well for the Moscow team – after three minutes of the game the score was 2:0 in their favor. However, the joy was short-lived – after 30 seconds, Egor Vasiliev and Alexander Derevensky equalized the score. The first period was a draw – 4:4. The second period was poorer in goals – only two goals were scored. First, the hosts scored the fifth goal in the middle of the period, and then Astrokhan resident Valery Rachitelev equalized the score 18 seconds before the end. In the third period, the ball crossed the goal only once – after an accurate shot by Timur Sykalov, a Dynamo-SSHOR veteran and the team’s top scorer. In the middle of the fourth period, the Muscovites equalized the score. However, the decisive moment came when Egor Vasiliev scored a goal a minute before the end of the game, bringing victory to his team.

The second game between Dynamo and Vostok followed a completely different scenario. After the first period the guests led with a score of 3:1, and after the second with a score of 6:2. The Muscovites were unable to resist the Astrakhan team, while the Dynamo players showed their best side. Although in the third quarter, the hosts were able to slightly reduce the gap to 8:2 in favor of Dynamo, but in the end there was still a rather convincing victory for the guests – 10:6.
