The Association of Schools for the Study of Indigenous Languages appeared in Russia

Moscow hosted the first All-Russian Congress of Teachers of Native Languages of the Peoples of Russia, which was attended by delegates from 75 regions of the country.
School teachers, teachers of colleges and universities, heads of educational organizations met to discuss methods of preserving the languages of minority peoples, their literature and culture, as well as talk about how to increase the attractiveness for representatives of minorities in schools of such subjects as “Mother tongue and Native Literature” and “Native Language and Literary Reading”.
The congress delegates presented digital programs for teaching the native languages of the peoples of Russia, presented master classes where children can learn the languages of small peoples in a playful way, and talked about projects to stimulate the preservation of the languages of small peoples. Within the framework of the congress, it was also decided to create an Association of Schools for the Study of the Languages of the Indigenous Peoples of Russia and to hold the International Decade of the Languages of the Indigenous Peoples of the country.
