A game took place in Arkhangelsk as part of the third round of the Russian top mini-football league. Our MFC Pomorie team met with the Rostov team. Despite the fact that the Arkhangelsk team were the first to open the scoring and were in the lead for most of the first half, the game ended with a score of 4:2 in favor of Rostov.
MFK Pomorie will play its next match on October 21 in Lyubertsy, where it will play against the Gazprom-Ugra double team.
“This season has just begun, and it can be called significant for our team,” commented Deputy Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Sergei Pivkov. – MFK “Pomorye” for the first time in the history of Arkhangelsk mini-football advanced to the 1/8 finals of the Russian Cup, thanks to which a super league team will come to Arkhangelsk. In the major league, the guys are showing a decent performance, and I am sure that they will make it to the playoffs. We will continue to develop mini-football in the region, both at the professional and amateur, school and children’s levels.
Let us remind you that in the 1/8 finals of the Russian Cup our team will play against MFK Norilsk Nickel, the silver medalist of the Russian Championship last season. The matches will take place in Arkhangelsk at the Nord Arena on November 5–6 and 24–26.
