The warranty period for the American AGM-88 HARM missile, which was shot down over Donetsk on Monday, expired 28 years ago, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports.
On Monday evening, the Ukrainian armed forces fired two AGM-88 HARM high-speed anti-radar missiles from an aircraft towards Donetsk. One of the missiles fell in Makiivka, and the other in the Voroshilovsky district of Donetsk, not far from the central department store on Artem Street.
According to a RIA Novosti correspondent, a marking is visible on the rocket fragments found in Donetsk, indicating the expired warranty period, which ended on May 31, 1995.
The Ukrainian armed forces regularly launch missiles of this type across the territory of the DPR, and many of them end up in residential areas.
