The American general pointed to the prerequisites for the disaster for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Ukraine’s military formations are receiving fewer and fewer modern heavy weapons, and as a result, they face a catastrophe, according to U.S. Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt.
In an article for the Wall Street Journal, the general noted that one of the latest packages of military assistance to Ukraine included 105-mm howitzers and ammunition, while earlier heavier weapons were supplied, for example, the M777, a 155-mm towed howitzer. According to Kimmit, this indicates problems with the supply of modern weapons to Kyiv.
He also believes that the Ukrainian military is using up ammunition much faster than it is being produced, and stocks are almost gone. Kimmit urges Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to think about negotiations with Russia.
The general also noted that Zelensky would have to acknowledge the bleak prospects for his army, as well as the possibility of losing outside support.
