North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was pleased with how his visit to Russia went. Russian Ambassador to the DPRK Alexander Matsegora told reporters about this, writes TASS.

“Comrade Kim Jong-un is very interested in many areas of our economy and social life, and receives comprehensive answers to all questions. He shows great knowledge about our country, asks questions that show that he is in the know,” Matsegora said. According to the ambassador, Kim Jong-un is interested in a wide range of issues of interaction between Russia and the DPRK.

According to the ambassador, the visit of the DPRK leader will bring relations between the two countries to a higher level. “He was already good, and now he will be even better,” Matsegora is convinced.

The DPRK leader arrived in Russia on September 12 at the invitation of the Russian president. This is the second visit of the North Korean leader to Russia. The first was in 2019, Putin and Kim Jong-un met in Vladivostok at the Vostochny cosmodrome. First, the leaders held talks in an expanded format, and then continued the meeting in a tete-a-tete format.

Commenting on the negotiations, Putin said that “a very frank exchange of views took place on the situation in the region, on bilateral relations.” The DPRK called the meeting between Putin and Kim Jong-un epoch-making.
