The 7th Festival of New Russian Cinema has begun – Kommersant

The VII festival of new Russian cinema “Bitter Fest” has started in Nizhny Novgorod. This is a professional platform for meeting filmmakers, an opportunity to acquaint viewers with the latest and most interesting works of the domestic film industry. This year’s “Bitter Fest” is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Leonid Gaidai, and the competition program includes 16 films. Among them are both short films (“Natasha’s Dream”, “News from Nepal”, “Duck”) and feature films (“Legend of Sambo”, “Heritage”, “Fatal Oath”). There are several documentaries – “7:59” by Nikita Belorusov, “Experienced” by Vladimir Golovnev and “Lewis Carroll’s Journey Through the Mirror and What He Found There” by Tatyana Soboleva.

Images for the guests of the festival are traditionally created by a team of stylists AlterEgo Italy, HH Simonsen and make-up artists of the Russian Beauty Guru brand. “Bitter fest” will last until July 13.
