Natalya Korosteleva – Honored Master of Sports of Russia, member of the Russian cross-country skiing team, bronze medalist of the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver – reported on her Telegram channel that she sent an application to participate in the “Galich Zaozerye” ski race, which will take place on February 17 in the vicinity Galich Lake.
This large-scale sporting event offers participating athletes several distances: from 7.5 to 50 kilometers for adult athletes of different ages and levels of training, a 3-kilometer youth ski track, as well as children’s distances for the youngest marathon runners – 500 and 1,000 meters.
On February 17, 2024, marathon participants and spectators will be able to get to Galich on a comfortable Orlan train. After the competition, guests can get acquainted with Galich as one of the tourist pearls of the Kostroma region.
