The 16th intermunicipal Spartakiad started in Kotkino

For five days, the sports center of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug in the city of Kotkino will host competitions in volleyball, basketball, table tennis, arm wrestling, bench press, cross-country skiing, bullet shooting and national triple jump.
The opening of the competition took place today at the branch of the Trud sports school in Kotkino.
The ceremony began with a minute of silence in memory of those killed in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, which occurred last Friday in the city of Krasnogorsk near Moscow.
– We know that terrorism has no nationality – the enemy is trying to intimidate us. But it is precisely in such moments that we become more united, we stand shoulder to shoulder. Our Spartakiad is proof of this. It is being held for the 16th time and now the guys who were born in the year of the first intermunicipal sports competition are already in the ranks! — said Governor Yuri Bezdudny.
This year, among the team members from Oksino, Krasny, Karatayka, Nesi, Kharuta, Nelmin Nos, Indiga, Telviska, Nizhnyaya Pyosha and Kotkino there are more than 150 people from all over the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
