Avio: static engine tests for European rocket Vega C were unsuccessful
Tests of the engine for the European rocket failed again. About it writes SpaceNews with reference to the manufacturing company Avio. The engineers were doing static fire tests.
As a result, something went wrong and the engine just stopped working. An emergency situation was recorded at the 40th second. The pressure has dropped. It is noted that European material was used in the neck of the engine nozzle, and not Ukrainian.
Recall that it was previously stated that the launch of Vega C in December last year failed due to an engine nozzle. Its manufacturing company purchased from a Ukrainian supplier. Nevertheless, Europe does not lose hope to resume launches of Vega missiles. The Vega C is expected to fly as early as 2024.
