Terror attack kills 11 in Pakistan

A terrorist attack in northwestern Pakistan killed 11 workers, acting prime minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said.
“Strongly condemn this senseless act of violence and stand in solidarity with the affected families,” Kakar wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
The attack took place in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkwa. Reuters with reference to the security service and the police writesthat the alleged improvised explosive device went off in the truck where the workers were. They were heading to a construction site in the Waziristan region, located on the border with Afghanistan.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Attacks by Islamist militants resumed in Pakistan last year, the agency said. Then the ceasefire agreement between the Pakistani Taliban, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan and the government was violated.
