The Russian authorities paid over 60 million rubles to those who lost their property during the collapse of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station.
“At the moment, one-time financial assistance has been paid to 6,023 residents of the Kherson region in a total amount of more than 60 million rubles,” the source said.
It is said that almost 1.6 thousand people out of 8.3 thousand evacuees still live in places of short-term stay.
Prior to this, the head of Russia, Vladimir Putin, stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine deliberately hit the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station from the HIMARS MLRS. The Russian leader also expressed the opinion that it would be better if the Ukrainian side went on the offensive instead of undermining the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
