Tennis players of Pomorye triumphantly performed at the championship of the North-West of Russia

In Arkhangelsk, on the basis of the sports development center “Nord Arena”, the table tennis championship of the North-Western Federal District of Russia among boys and girls under 16 years old was held. The competition ended with the triumph of the Pomorye national team. This is reported by the regional Ministry of Sports.

96 young promising tennis players from the Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Kaliningrad, Leningrad, Novgorod and Pskov regions, as well as the republics of Karelia and Komi became participants in the championship of the North-West of Russia in the capital of Pomorie.

– Thanks to the active work of the regional table tennis federation, the Arkhangelsk region once again confirmed the high level of training of our athletes! Young tennis players Ekaterina Rogova, Sofia Kuderskaya, as well as our men’s and women’s teams won the right to play at the Russian championship, which will be held in Arkhangelsk from April 24 to May 1, – said Sergey Pivkov, Deputy Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region. – I would first note that athletes and teams from more than 60 subjects are planning to come to the Russian championship. Our guys have a great opportunity to prove themselves on the familiar home grounds at the All-Russian level.

It should be noted that at the championship of the Northwestern Federal District of Russia in the team competition, the Arkhangelsk region was represented by Sofia Kuderskaya, Ekaterina Rogova, Polina Strekalovskaya, Uliana Molodtsova, Alina Udalaya, Mikhail Kulikov, Artem Groshev, Egor Zhilko and Eduard Shestakov. Young talents of Pomorye are already starting preparations for the national championship.
