Tennis player Mirra Andreeva in a conversation with “RG” stated that reports of her plans to change citizenship are not true, and she intends to continue to speak for her country.
According to the athlete, an article that she plans to obtain French citizenship appeared on one of the foreign tennis sites, using as a source the publication of a person who is not related to either her family or the team. Andreeva indicated that the media immediately contacted her agent and realized that the news was not true, ignoring it.
The tennis player emphasized that she was born in Russia and lived between Krasnoyarsk, Sochi and Moscow until the year before last. She clarified that due to the tennis schedule, her training process is currently mainly organized in French Cannes, but at the same time she has a regular student visa, and the athlete does not plan to change citizenship. Andreeva added that she would fly home to Krasnoyarsk for the holidays.
