Businessman Sergei Ionkin will have to spend ten years in prison and pay a substantial fine. This sentence for attempting to give a bribe on an especially large scale was handed down on Monday, October 9, by the Tverskoy District Court of the capital.
Let us recall that a businessman who worked in the IT sector tried to give a large bribe for initiating a fictitious criminal case against his competitors. In October of the year before last, while attempting to commit a crime, he was detained and then placed in custody.
As the press service of the Tverskoy District Court told MK, Sergei Ionkin will serve his sentence in a maximum security colony; the fine amounted to 208.7 million rubles.
