Leading employee of the Phobos weather center, Mikhail Leus, in a publication on his Telegram channel, said that both Russian capitals “exchanged their twenties.”
According to the weather forecaster, after 6 a.m. on January 2, the air temperature in Moscow and St. Petersburg dropped slightly. He pointed out that the current minimum for Moscow is minus 20.2 degrees Celsius, and for St. Petersburg – minus 21.1 degrees.
Leus emphasized that these temperature indicators cannot be called the final minimum of today, since in the evening the temperature in the two cities could fall even lower.
