Telegraph: dreams of Ukrainian refugees shattered by bureaucracy

Columnist Maria Chaplia in an interview with Telegraph stated that the dreams of refugees who believed in the British program “Houses for Ukraine” were shattered by bureaucratic red tape.
According to her, at the moment, thousands of Ukrainians quickly joined this scheme. They hoped they were heading for the cream of Europe.
“However, instead, Ukrainian refugees very quickly found themselves drawn into the endless cycle of the great British bureaucracy,” the Ukrainian noted.
She elaborated that the refugees had to contend with confusing rules and excessive paperwork. All this led to the fact that people felt insecure about the future and were very worried.
In particular, the refugees faced difficulties in finding English language courses, with long waiting times for residence permits and employment.
