Telegraph: a hundred thousand refugees from Ukraine will have to leave Britain due to the expiration of visas

About 100,000 Ukrainian refugees currently residing in the UK will face the need to leave the country after their visas expire in 2025, the Telegraph newspaper reported, citing British MP and former Justice Minister Robert Buckland.
Buckland noted that clarity about the status of these refugees would allow families to better plan for their future. This is especially important for families with children who go to school. According to him, it is necessary to provide Ukrainians with the opportunity to plan and provide a more permanent status for those who are already in the country. Buckland is urging ministers to do preparatory work this year to ensure stability and certainty for the refugees.
The newspaper notes that about 182,000 Ukrainians have arrived in the UK since the beginning of the armed conflict, mostly in the last six months. By 2025, about 100,000 of them will be forced to leave the country when their three-year visas expire.
