Telegram messenger released an update that added a number of new features and redesigned the Favorites chat. The company also improved chat search and added new features for Telegram Premium subscribers.

In the new “Favorites 2.0”, users will be able to see a list of all groups, channels and personal chats from which messages were sent there, as well as view all messages from a specific user. Any individual chat can be pinned to the top. Telegram Premium subscribers can now add emojis to messages in “Favorites”, which work as tags – for each such emoji you can find a list of tagged messages. In each individual chat you can now find a special “Shared Media” section, which will contain all messages forwarded from that chat to “Favorites”.

Telegram now offers one-time audio and video messages that are automatically deleted after viewing. You can also pause the recording of audio and video messages in order to record them later. To use these features while recording, you need to swipe up until the desired icons appear.

In personal chats, you will be able to see the exact time a message was read, and Telegram Premium subscribers will be able to see the time they logged in and read other people’s messages, even if they themselves hid such information from users. Subscribers will also be able to limit the number of people who can write to them, and video stories for them will now load four times faster. Premium subscribers also have the option to increase the video resolution in Stories. All users will be able to adjust the playback speed of stories.
