Telegraaf: body found 10 years ago in a river in Amsterdam belongs to Russian Levin

Dutch police have determined that a man found dead in a river in Amsterdam ten years ago is the missing Russian art collector Alexander Levin. This publication reports Telegraaf.

The body was found at the end of January 2013 near the Central Station of the Dutch capital, it was wrapped in a blue plastic bag. It was not possible to identify the deceased, however, in 2022, law enforcement agencies decided to resume the investigation.

After a while, the experts found out that the body belongs to the Russian Alexander Levin. He reportedly sold art and antiques. In 1999, he was convicted of smuggling.

At the moment, law enforcement officers do not contact the Russian leadership because of the special operation carried out by Russia.
