Volleyball players from Ivanovo “Textilshchik” continue to play in the regular championship of the Major League “B” for the 2023-2024 season. The team from Ivanovo made its professional debut during the current season and was immediately able to prove itself to be an excellent and competitive opponent to be reckoned with. The red-blacks began to win from the first matches and, at the end of the 2023 calendar year, settled in 3rd position, second only to their rivals representing VC Obninsk and Dagestan. In 2024, Tekstilshchik lost twice to Obninsk and successfully started the home tour.
In the second match of the home round of the Major League “B”, the Tekstilshchik volleyball players met with opponents from the Stavropol Territory and won a second victory in a row. The red-blacks turned out to be stronger than Kolos in four games. The team from Ivanovo lost in the opening period of the match with a minimal difference, and then got down to business and turned out to be stronger in 3 games in a row, allowing Kolos to score a maximum of 22 points. The victory over rivals from the Stavropol Territory was the second in a row for Tekstilshchik.
On January 27, the red-blacks will play their second match against VK Apsny. The meeting is scheduled to start at 18:30 Moscow time.
