On November 11, the summer-autumn part of the 2023-2024 season ended in the Silver division of the Second League A, where Tekstilshchik Ivanovo plays. The four best teams based on the results of 18 matches moved to the “Golden” division, where in the spring they will be able to compete for access to the First League. Tekstilshchik footballers were not among the four lucky ones, but the red-and-blacks were very close to becoming one of the strongest teams in the Second League and contenders for promotion to the First Division.
The team from Ivanovo lost its chance to enter the “Golden” division 1 round before the end of the championship in “Silver”, losing in an away match against the reserve team of the Moscow “Rodina”, which by that time no longer had tournament motivation. In the final round of 2023, Tekstilshchik defeated Salyut from Belgorod with a score of 4:0 and took 5th place, losing to Chelyabinsk by only 1 point.
Let us remind you that the Ivanovo Tekstilshchik will spend the spring part of the 2023-2024 season in the Silver division and will again try to reach the Gold division to fight for entry into the First League.
