Techno company presented a new folding smartphone – the Phantom V Flip model, made in a clamshell form factor, will go on sale in October 2023. Sales of the new smartphone will begin in the fall of 2023 – it is stated that the clamshell will appear in Russia from October 16. The cost of the Techno Phantom V Flip has not yet been announced.
The new product received two displays. The external screen is represented by a round 1.32-inch AMOLED display, and the internal one is made in the usual form – a rectangular 6.9-inch main screen has a Full HD+ resolution (2640×1080 pixels) with an image refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is stated that the folding display is devoid of visible and perceptible folds due to the special design of the case hinge, which can withstand more than 200 thousand folds.
The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chip coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. The 4000 mAh battery supports 45 W fast charging. The new product has a 32 MP front camera, as well as a main unit that combines a 64 MP lens and a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle module. Thanks to FreeCam technology, you can take pictures and record videos with the device open at an angle of 30 to 150 degrees.
The new Phantom V Flip is Techno’s first device to run HiOS 13.5, which is based on Android 13.
