Teacher of a foreign school in Iran Oleg Yankovsky became the Russian Teacher of the Year

Oleg Yankovsky, a teacher of Russian language and literature at the school at the Russian Embassy in Iran, was recognized as “Russian Teacher of the Year” 2023. The winners were a physical education teacher from the Lugansk People’s Republic Anton Kandaurov, a mathematics teacher from Tatarstan Arman Kostanyan, an English teacher from Chechnya Bella Yandieva and a physics teacher from the Belgorod region Mikhail Ladnykh.
The winners of the competition were announced by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova as part of the Big Teachers’ Week. The organizers of the competition broadcast on “In contact with”. The winners were congratulated by the Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov. Mr. Yankovsky thanked his students for their support.
The laureate in the “First Teacher” category was Oksana Krumina, a primary school teacher from the Sverdlovsk region.
Russian President Vladimir Putin in congratulations on Teacher’s Day promisedthat the authorities will expand measures to support teachers. The current year in the Russian Federation has been declared the Year of the Teacher and Mentor.
