Bill passed on first reading by the lower house of parliament offers introduce the following categories of fines. So, for violation of the procedure for processing information about ordering a passenger taxi, the fine will be 1,000–3,000 rubles. for individuals, 3000–5000 rubles. for officials and 5,000–10,000 rubles. for legal entities. The transfer of an order for a trip to drivers who have not received permission for this will entail a fine of 1000–3000 rubles. for individuals and already 100,000–200,000 rubles. – for companies. In case of repeated violation within a year, the maximum fine for legal entities increases to 500,000 rubles. If the draft law is approved in the next readings, it will enter into force on September 1.

Experts familiar with the situation in the field of private transportation believe that taxi services and private taxi companies will decide to include possible fines in the cost of taxi rides for citizens.

“For users, it’s certainly good that the trip will become safer, but if from September 1, 2023 there will be no one to transfer orders to aggregators due to a lack of drivers, the price of trips, especially for short distances, will increase even more – at least twice,” – Dmitry Matveev, the general director of the My Autoprokat company, told Izvestia.
