The Federal Notary Chamber of Russia has decided to maintain tariffs for notary services in 2024 at the 2023 level. This was announced by the President of the Chamber, Konstantin Korsik, at a round table meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building.
“Literally the day before yesterday, at a meeting of the board of the Federal Notary Chamber, they decided to maintain for 2024 the tariffs that were set for 2023 – without increases, despite the increase in the cost of living and the minimum wage. We understand the situation,” he said (quoted by TASS).
From October 1, 2023, the procedure for calculating fees for notary services in Russia has changed. Previously, the price for legal and technical services was set by notary chambers of Russian constituent entities within the limits determined by the Federal Notary Chamber. Now the formula for the maximum regional tariff is tied to the standard of living in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
Mr. Korsik drew attention to the fact that after the law came into force, the regional tariff for real estate transactions in a number of constituent entities of the Russian Federation decreased. For example, in the Krasnodar Territory the indicator decreased by an average of 44%, in the Nizhny Novgorod region by 40%, in Tatarstan – by 38%, in the Moscow region – by 35%.
