Tariffs for housing and communal services increased in Russia

From December 1, utility tariffs will increase in Russia: for gas, electricity, water and heat supply. According to the government decree, the maximum level of tariff indexation should be no more than 9%.
Ministry of Economy announced indexing in September. The next tariff increase is expected to take place in July 2024.
This is the second increase in tariffs for housing and communal services over the past year. The last time rates were raised was in July. On average across the country, since July 1, the cost of liquefied gas has increased by 4.8%, electricity services – by 4.6%, hot water and heating – by 4.1%, cold water – by 4%.
