Tambov skier is among the best young athletes in the country

Tambov resident Stepan Malkov was among the best young skiers in Russia at the end of the 2023-2024 season, reports the press service of the country’s skiing federation.
The young man became second in the list of the best skiers at the age of 2006–2007.
We note that Stepan trains at the Kotovsk Youth Skiing Sports School and became the winner at the XXXVII All-Russian cross-country skiing competition for the prizes of four-time Olympic champion Raisa Smetanina in the 7.5 km classic style discipline. Malkov trains under the guidance of his mother Lyudmila Yuryevna.
