Tambov residents won medals at the World Championship in universal combat. From 5 to 11 September Sochi hosted the World Championship in universal combat among boys and girls 12-17 years old, juniors and juniors 18-20 years old.
Nearly 400 athletes from Russia, Serbia, Armenia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Syria, and Kazakhstan took part. Representatives of the Tambov region, pupils of the sports club “Kolovrat” from Morshansk, also performed as part of the Russian national team.
In their age categories, Tambov residents took second and third places – Daniil Lenkov became the silver medalist, and Alena Luneva won bronze.
