Tambov resident reached the quarterfinals of the international tennis tournament

A native of Tambov, world number 101 Arina Rodionova, currently defending the colors of Australia, is successfully performing at the WTA-250 tournament in Hua Hin.
In the next round, the athlete met with the 90th racket of the world, Chinese Zhuoxuan Bai. The rivals spent about two hours on the court and Rodionova, having lost 3:6 in the first set, won a strong-willed victory in the second and third sets – 6:1 and 6:0, respectively.
Thanks to this success, Rodionova was able to reach the quarterfinals of the competition, where she will meet Chinese 30-year-old Zhu Lin, the 45th racket in the world. The fight will take place today, February 2.
Note that the prize fund of the tournament is 267 thousand dollars.
