In the Murmansk region, tag-rugby competitions within the framework of the Polar Region Governor’s Cup among school sports clubs have ended. The compositions of several sports teams of the region participated in them at once.
Tag rugby is a sports non-contact, but team game. Its participants compete with each other, running after the ball in clothes with Velcro, which significantly slows down and makes movement difficult. Special tags are attached to the belt or shorts. In rare cases, they may be placed on shoes.
This sport is not sufficiently widespread in Russia, but in the Arctic they still continued to compete in it. The games were held in the center “Vertical”.
According to the results of the games, the team from Olenegorsk won, and the proud second place went to the Apatityans, hibiny.com reported.
Earlier, MK in Murmansk said that Murmansk residents defended honor of the region at the international powerlifting tournament, which will be held in Tula until November 21.
