Taekwondo girl from Dagestan took gold at the Cup of Kazakhstan

Maryam Salimgereeva, a pupil of the Dagestan sports school named after Magomed Jafarov, won a gold medal at the Para-taekwondo Cup of the country held in Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Sports of Dagestan reports. The girl took part in the weight category up to 65 kg. After such success, the athlete received an invitation to the national team of Kazakhstan. As the girl’s coach Ruslan Biyarslanov noted, the victory was largely possible thanks to the work with the coach Yerbol Mergaliyev. Now Maryam will go to training camp in Uzbekistan to get the opportunity to perform at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
