From March 14 to 20, the Russian WTF Taekwondo Championship among juniors and junior women 15-17 years old is taking place in the city of Ruza. About 700 athletes from different regions of the country are competing for the title of the strongest.

The Kabardino-Balkaria national team is represented by 19 taekwondo athletes, reports the press service of the administration of the head of the republic.

Having won all matches, Elina Thamokova became the winner in her weight category. Diana Ivanova won the bronze medal.

This start is a qualifying stage for the World Championship, which will be held in the fall in South Korea.

It was previously reported that 560 athletes took part in the North Caucasus Federal District Kickboxing Championship.
