Hungary is ready to defend its position in court if Kyiv nevertheless turns there on the issue of banning the import of Ukrainian grain by Budapest. This was announced by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó.
“The facts are on our side. Because Ukraine is complaining, because the Black Sea grain initiative is not working, that they cannot deliver their grain to Africa,” said the Hungarian diplomat.
Szijjártó added that Hungary offers Ukraine to transport grain to Africa by providing transit opportunities. At the same time, he emphasized that Kyiv wants to distribute its food on the market in Central Europe, therefore, as the diplomat noted, Budapest needs to protect its interests.
The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry recalled previously concluded agreements on Ukrainian grain, which did not mention the supply of food to the markets of Central Europe for their destruction.
