Szijjártó: Hungary is not succumbing to EU pressure on aid to Ukraine

The countries of the European Union (EU) are attempting to make certain decisions regarding Ukraine, but they are not prepared and there is no consensus on them. This statement was made by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó during a meeting in Brussels with EU colleagues, where issues of assistance to Ukraine and escalation in the Middle East were discussed.
The Hungarian diplomat noted that Budapest will not succumb to pressure from other EU members and will continue to act in its own interests.
The day before, Euroactive reported that official negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU could be postponed until March next year due to the fact that Budapest will not support this decision.
