Four Syrian soldiers were killed in an Israeli air force attack on Syrian army posts. This was announced on Sunday by the Syrian Ministry of Defense.
It is reported that the Israeli Air Force attacked the positions of the Syrian army in the center of the country, as well as on the coast. It happened on Sunday at 6:30 local time.
The striking forces were located “over the Mediterranean Sea, in the area of the city of Banias.”
Syrian air defense repelled the attack. However, “as a result of the aggression, four soldiers were killed, one was wounded, and material damage was inflicted,” said a military source from the Syrian Defense Ministry.
On November 13, the Israeli Air Force attacked the Syrian Shayrat airfield, killing two soldiers and injuring three.
The Israeli army regularly conducts airstrikes on various targets in Syria. In recent months, strikes have been carried out on Damascus, Aleppo, the port of Tartus, as well as a research center in the city of Masyaf.
First Deputy Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said that the Syrian authorities have repeatedly appealed to UN Secretary General António Guterres because of the Israeli attacks, but there was no reaction. Moscow considers this unacceptable.
