Switzerland announced its position on the re-export of weapons to Ukraine

Switzerland does not plan, due to its neutrality, to allow the re-export of Swiss weapons supplied to Germany and Spain to Ukraine.
This was stated by President Alain Berset, RTS reports. He answered the question of whether the Swiss government is ready to allow Germany and Spain to re-export Swiss weapons to Ukraine.
“We have been taking a stable position for a long time. Switzerland is a neutral country. It is a country of the Geneva Conventions, participating in the negotiation process, a state of the world that does not export weapons to conflict zones,” he said.
He explained that Bern had delivered arms “to countries like Spain and Germany with clear re-export rules.”
Recall that Switzerland also refused to Germany in the issue of re-export of ammunition to Ukraine. Switzerland justifies this position by its status of a neutral country.
It was reported that after another refusal in November 2022, the German parliament called on deputies to reconsider the logistics of ammunition supplies through Switzerland, which refuses to transfer shells to Ukraine for Gepard anti-aircraft guns.
