Among Russian cities with a population of over one million, residents of Voronezh and Moscow want stronger measures to combat coronavirus more than others, according to a SuperJob study, which cites “RIA News”. Residents of Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don want the introduction of new restrictions least of all.
Among residents of Voronezh and Moscow, 22% of residents are in favor of tougher measures, in Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don – only 10% of respondents. In Perm, 20% of respondents support enhanced measures to combat coronavirus, in Omsk – 18%, in Samara and Yekaterinburg – 17%, in St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod – 16%.
Residents of Kazan, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk are the least willing to tighten measures: only 13% of respondents consider it necessary to introduce new restrictions. Among residents of Ufa, this idea is supported by 11% of respondents.
September 10, the number of hospitalized with coronavirus per day has grown by almost 10%. Moscow remains the leader in terms of incidence rates (6325 new cases over the past day). In August, Rospotrebnadzor recommended vaccination in regions with a high incidence rate against the backdrop of the spread of a more contagious sub-variant of the centaur omicron strain. September 5, head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova reportedthat the incidence has declined.
