Crimea, Sochi and Altai will become the most popular destinations for summer holidays this year among Russians, RIA Novosti reports citing a survey by the SuperJob job search service.

According to the study, 21% of Russians who shared plans for a summer vacation said they planned to spend it in Russia.

The top five most popular destinations this summer are: Crimea, Krasnodar Territory, Altai, Baikal and St. Petersburg.

In addition to these regions, Russians are considering Moscow, Kaliningrad, and the Caucasus for recreation.

It is noted that 17% of respondents will spend their holidays at home or in the country.

4% are going to go abroad. They preferred Turkey, Tunisia, Abkhazia, Greece and Cuba.

At the same time, young people under 34 plan trips around the country and abroad more than other age groups (23 and 10%, respectively). And people over 45 are going to rest in the country or in the village (20%).

The study was conducted from February 21 to March 7, it was attended by 3,000 employed representatives of the economically active population from all districts of Russia.

A comparison is also made with 2021: then 7% of respondents were planning a vacation abroad, 18% wanted to travel around Russia in the summer, 14% wanted to relax at home or in the country.
